Where It All Began

My journey started with a simple goal—I ran a YouTube channel teaching Canadians about managing their money. I was excited about helping others improve their lives, but I faced a big challenge: growing the channel was much harder than I expected.

Facing the Challenge

At first, sleepless nights seemed like a small price to pay. But soon, balancing video creation, family, and other responsibilities became overwhelming. I struggled to keep up, and the quality of my content started suffering.

A Tough Lesson Learned
I initially tried hiring cheap freelance help internationally, but after going through nearly 40 freelancers and losing tens and thousands of dollars, I learned a tough lesson—cheap freelancers simply weren't worth the hassle. Feeling exhausted by this trial and error, I eventually decided to give up on freelancers entirely and hire my own full-time, in-house editor instead.

This decision came with new responsibilities: payroll, benefits, managing time off, and creating a reliable system. While hiring full-time help worked for me, I quickly realized not everyone has the resources or the desire to manage their own employees.

Creating a New Path
With editing taken care of by my trusted in-house editor, I finally had time to breathe. I created a reliable plan to upload videos consistently, improve their quality, and dedicate more time to creating valuable content. As my videos got better, people started noticing—and soon they were asking me how I was producing such great content.

This sparked new opportunities to help other creators. Beginning with free projects, my efforts quickly grew into collaborations with creators of all sizes—from those just starting out to some of the largest YouTube channels around.

Achieving Our Mission
After nearly three years of learning, growing, and fine-tuning our system, EZ Edits was officially born. Now, our goal is straightforward: we provide creators with all the benefits of having their own full-time, reliable editing team—without any of the stress and responsibility of managing payroll, benefits, vacations, or developing a proven system.
